VDL Maseratie wins at the Hampton Classic Horse Show

Good results for Chris Kappler with the horses VDL Oranta (Indorado x Nimmerdor) and VDL Maserati (Indoctro x Ramiro) at the big Hampton Classic Horse Show in the USA. With VDL Maserati he was one time 2nd and they won a 1.50 m class yesterday. On Saturday evening only seven made it to the jump-off and the top three went double clear. Kappler and VDL Maserati braved gale force winds along with the rest of the field of 26 horses to top the class with a jump-off time of 43.70 seconds. Kappler, who has only been competing Maseratie for two months, could not be happier with the 11-year-old�s performance.: �He�s a wonderful horse, he�s always ready to go,� said Kappler. �The course rode great even with the difficulties of the jumps blowing down in the wind and the rain.� (source: www.hamptonclassic.com).

VDL Oranta (Indorado x Nimmerdor), also ridden by Chris Kappler, received the 2nd place in the $150.000 Grand Prix and was 6th in the qualification of this Grand Prix. This Grand Prix is one of the biggest horse shows in the USA. VDL Platini (Freedom Z x Nimmerdor), ridden by Liza Lehrman, received the 5th place in the Grand Prix and received the 10th place in the qualifier. A very good result for this combination who jumped their first Grand Prix at this level. VDL Platini is bred at the VDL Stud.
