During the CSI3* in Opglabbeek, offspring of VDL stallions once again proved their class with two victories on Belgian soil.
On Sunday 7 June, Modesto, a son of Zirocco Blue, claimed victory in the 1.45m class. Ridden by Polish rider Przemyslaw Konopacki, the KWPN horse remained clear and raced to victory in a time of 25.76 seconds. The pair thus left the competition behind in a highly competitive international class. He was bred by S. van der Meer.
Earlier in the weekend, there had already been success for the younger generation. In the final for seven-year-old horses, victory went to GK’s Moneymaker, a son of Comfortuna. Norwegian rider Therese Soehol Henriksen guided the talented stallion to a convincing win in the 1.30m class. With a clear round in 59.50 seconds, GK’s Moneymaker confirmed his potential for the future.
