Emilion passed away

Today we had to say goodbye to our top stallion  Emilion. The Preferent stallion reached a fantastic age of 31 years . Emilion has been of great value to us and our company, we do not only look back at his fantastic sport and breeding results but  also at his great personality and super character, he was a winner.

Emilion had a fantastic sport and breeding career. In sport, guided by rider, Ulrich Kirchhoff, he won the World Cup of Mill Street, and placed in the following Grand Prix: 2nd in Donaueschingen, 4th in Valkenswaard, 5th in London and 6th in the World Cup at Aarhus. With the German team, he was 4th in Dublin and Rotterdam, and 2nd in Bremen.
As a sire, Emilion has proven to belong to the world’s best jumping horse producers. His offspring are performing worldwide in Grand Prix and World Cup classes. Seldana is one of the  most famous. This top performance mare, ridden by Abdullah Al Sharbatly, won the Silver Medal at the World Championships in Kentucky. Equally famous is Emilion’s son Glasgow, who competed for years at the highest International level, won several World Cups and Grand Prix - the CN Reliability Grand Prix of Canada three times, and was crowned the ‘USA Horse of the Year’ But he did not just speak through direct offspring. Emilion also had a very positive influence on breeding through on the mother’s side. Until his last years Emilion  has been active as a breedingstallion. This year he was sire of the Dutch National Foal Champion : Mijnsinaa, bred by the  fam. van der Meer from Surhuisterveen.
