VALKENSWAARD - Exit of Ice Z (Emilion x Tornado II) became second under Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen (NOR) in CSI4 * Grand Prix over 1.45m in Valkenswaard (NED). Kilkenny (Cardento x Guidam) and Cian O'Connor (IRL) came fourth in the Grand Prix over 1.55m.
Also in another 1.45m class Exit of Ice Z and Gulliksen remained double clear and finished sixth.
Ibiza (Cardento x Kojak) and Victoria Gulliksen were unbeatable in the 1.35m and won this class.
In the 1.40m level this combination also stayed clear and finished second.
Cartello VDL (Cartani x Lord) and Daragh Kenny (IRL) won the 1.45m in a fantastic way. Cartello VDL was bred just like Cardento 'Elite' out of the mare B-Estelle. Breeder is Witt Pferdezucht Gbr, Wellinghusen (GER). The horse was sold by the VDL Stud a few years ago and has shown a lot of quality ever since. Earlier this year, Cartello was shown very successfully in, among others, the 5* Grand Prix van Wellington by Lorcan Gallagher (USA). Cartello VDL was also recently 2nd in the 1.50m American Gold Cup Qualifier of Traverse City, Michigan and third in the Grand Prix of Tryon.
