The NRPS and AES approved stallion Hero Blue will be available for breeding through fresh semen in the coming weeks. The Douglas-son is available at VDL Stud and Waaij Stud.
Last indoor season in the KWPN Stallion Competition, Hero Blue was the only 6/7-year-old stallion that remained double clear in all competitions. Ridden by Great Britain’s Biba McCaul, Hero Blue finished in 4th, 3rd and 2n place in the three rounds of the KWPN Stallion Competition.
Furthermore, Hero Blue spectacularly became vice-champion of the Utrecht championships in De Meern. Recently, Hero Blue showed off his extreme jumping qualities in the 7-year-old competitions at the international show at the Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard.
Hero Blue is a son of the top sire Douglas and is bred out of the ‘Keur’ and ‘IBOP(spr)’ awarded mare Blue Girl (Indoctro x Mr. Blue). Blue Girl also produced the international showjumper Flow Girl, who became the 6-year-old champion in Hickstead ridden by Rowan Willis back in 2016. Hero Blue’s granddam Sonola jumped at 1.45m level and great-granddam Minola - a daughter of Quick Star - produced a long list of successful showjumpers.
