A fantastic victory for eight-year-old Nord Face VDL (Insider VDL x Tinka's Boy) and Daniel Coyle. The VDL Stud-bred gelding won the CSI2 Grand Prix of Ottawa under the Irish top rider. Nord Face VDL was sold earlier this year at the WEF Sport Horse Auction and is already proving his talent. Under Daniel Coyle, he claimed victory in the CSI2* Grand Prix of Ottawa.

The victory is also a great success for his sire Insider VDL, who returned to breeding duties at VDL Stud this year. Insider VDL's oldest offspring are making their mark more and more on the international stage, with Nord Face VDL providing an excellent example with this Grand Prix victory.

Nord Face VDL was bred by VDL Stud out of the mare Ilba VDL. She represents a very strong sport family and is, among others, a sister to the international 1.60m Grand Prix horses Equine America Harwich VDL and Jourdain VDL. Harwich VDL will compete at the World Championships in Aachen this coming weekend with his Norwegian rider Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen. Our talented stallion Night Life VDL is also closely related to Nord Face VDL.
