29 June 2025 - It was a successful weekend for the offspring of Carrera, who impressed internationally at several CSI competitions in Europe.
In Kronenberg (NED), Jeroen Dubbeldam and Carrera VDL son Kentucky N achieved a handsome second place in the CSI1* Grand Prix over 1.45 m. The pair stayed clear in both rounds and clocked a fast time of 42.93 seconds in the jump-off, good for a cash prize of €5,640. Kentucky N was bred by H. Reinders from Emmen.
There was also success for Asad (by Zirocco Blue) in the young horses class in Kronenberg. Together with Björn Kuwertz, the Zirocco Blue son bred by Ennisnag Stud managed to win the class. Third place went to New Champion EVO (by Etoulon) with Sem Huizenaar. Mr van Omme is the breeder of the Etoulon son.
Also in Heras (ESP), Carrera VDL offspring Karl-P, ridden by Spaniard Armando Trapote, jumped to great results. Karl-P won the CSI2* GP qualifier over 1.45m on 27 June with a clear round in 63.29 seconds and netted €7,050. Two days later, he picked up a fine second place in the CSI2* Grand Prix with another double clear performance and a sharp time of 39.50 seconds. Karl-P was bred by B.J. Platzer from Ommen.
In Budapest (HUN) there was also success for Carrera VDL. Giulia Martinengo Marquet (ITA) rode the seven-year-old Captain Morgan Weering Z (by Carrera) to victory in the Nations Cup for young horses over 1.50 m. The pair stayed clear in both rounds and earned €7,200.
The strong international performances of the Carrera VDL offspring once again underline the quality and versatility of this stallion within the showjumping sport. Both at a young age and in the difficult tests, his offspring prove themselves at the highest level.
