POZNAN - Zirocco Air (by Zirocco Blue) has achieved a fantastic second place with rider Mateusz Tyszko in the CSI2 * Grand Prix over 1.45m in Poznan. The combination also came around very well in the 1.40m level and a third place was the result.
In Sopot, Zirocco Air also won the CSI2 * Grand Prix last year. The successful offspring of Zirocco Blue also finished fifth in both the Grand Prix of Wroclaw and Lublin earlier last year. Zirocco Air was bred from a Con Air mare by Jan van Hamond from Haren - Fehndorf, Germany.
The combination was closely followed by Goldcoast VDL (by Zirocco Blue x Chin Chin) and Matas Petraitis (LTU), who finished third by also remaining two clear rounds.
The Cardento's made themselves heard in the 1.40m this week. Third place was for Carripu (by Cardento x Stanford) with Swedish rider Karolina Kielbasa Borgström (SWE) in the saddle. Dundas VDM (by Cardento x Niimmerdor), ridden by Laura Penele (LAT), finished sixth in this class.
In the 1.35m level there were good results for Secret Weapon L (Bubalu x Acobat II) and Dawid Skiba (Pol). Itoulon B (Etoulon VDL x Indoctro) and Marel Lewicki finished tenth. In another CSIYH class over 1.30m, Itoulon B and Marel Lewicki managed to conquer third place.
Daisy (by Glasgow v. T. Merelsnest x Canturano I) and Malgorzata Ciszek - Lewicka (POL) remained double clear in the 1.30m for young horses and won this class by setting the fastest time. Odilon v.h. Bevrijdthof (by Carrera x Action Breaker), ridden by Dawid Skiba (POL) were also twice clear; their time was good for fourth place. In another young horse class Secret Weapon L (Bubalu x Acobat II) and Dawid Skiba were allowed to take the fifth prize. Ivita (by Harley VDL x Corland) and Kristupas Petraitis (LTU) finished seventh in this competition.
In the CSIYH over 1.25m we saw another successful ride for Daisy (by Glasgow v.'t. Merelsnest x Canturano I) and Malgorzata Ciszek - Lewicka (POL); this time the combination ended in second place.
Third place was Javenda (by Harley VDL x Quidam de Revel) with rider Andrius Petrovas (LTU).
The young horse classes in Poznan were also a success for descendants from Arezzo and Dakar.
In the CSIYH1 * / Two phases for seven-year-olds Jason (by Dakar VDL x Diamant de Semilly) finished third with Agnieszka Olszewska (POL) in the saddle.
In the same class for six-year-old horses, Keldita (by Arezzo x Nimmerdor) was ridden by Filip Lewicki (POL) third. Sixth were King Lepantino (by Arezzo VDL x Lord Z) and Michal Tyszko (POL). Both combinations remained clear.
