Corland

Corland is from the famous Holsteiner Line 104A, which goes directly back to Retsina, a two-time winner of the Hamburg Derby.

Palmares

Corland had an impressive career under W.J. van der Schans. At the European Championship, Corland proved to all that he belongs in the category ‘the best in the world’. In Nation’s Cup series, he won both qualifiers and had the best results of the Nation’s competition clocking the fastest clear round. In the finals, he was 9th. Additionally, there were the following results: 2nd GP Rotterdam, 4th GP’s Oslo and Den Bosch, 5th GP’s Bordeaux and Maastricht, 6th GP Helsinki, 7th GP’s Zuidlaren, La Baule and Calgary.

He also was Champion of the Benelux in The Hague, 7th in the World Cup of Verona and 2nd in ‘The Sires of the World’ in Lanaken.

Offspring

Corland’s offspring participate at international level and Grand Prix. One of the most famous is the mare Silvana. With her rider Kevin Staut, she was a solid member of the French team, winning the Silver medal at the World Championships in Kentucky and the European Championship of Madrid. Son Apardi jumped at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and became, among others, 3rd in the GCT of Chantilly. At the WEG in Caen 2014, Corland was represented by two of his offspring: Fardon and California.

More offspring were high placed: Andretti S was 2nd in the WEF Challenge and 9th in the GP Wellington; Hortensia van de Leeuwerk won in Mexico the GP Otomi and was 7th in the GP Coaexpan; SF Ariantha placed 6th in the GP Wellington and won in 2015 the GP Tryon; E Unanime de la Haie won the GP Thermal and was 8th in the GP Langley; and Coco Rico placed 5th in the GP Courland.

VDL Torlando and Callan Solem competed in over 100 Grand Prix competitions in the USA and placed 49 times..

Bacardi VDL won with Jos Lansink the Silver at the World Championship for 7-year old jumpers in Lanaken 2013 and has become successful at the international level with Jannika Sprunger.

Other successful Grand Prix jumpers descending from Corland are: Alpha VDL, Aplicatia, Boca Upgrade, Bonea Field, California, Cavarola, Centre Ice, Cor-tender, Corjulana, Corlantos, Dancing Queen, Mezzaluna Tok, Rocksina VDL Sen-sation, Tersina, World Wide, Zarco, Zorland, etc.

Besides being the sire to several approved stallions, Corland has also been influential through his excellent breeding daughters, who gained the predicates ‘Preferent’ and ‘Prestatie’.

Corland is reknown internationally and has high indexes at several studbooks:

Jumping index Sweden: 148.
Jumping index Germany: 153.
Jumping index KWPN: 123.

Corland has proved by his own performance and with that of his progeny,  to be a treasure for breeding
