Champion and reserve champion at the USEA Young Event Horse for 4-year-olds both by VDL stallions

This weekend were the USEA Young Event Horse (YEH) Championships of 4-years-old in California. The competitors were juged on comfirmation and type (10% counting), dressage (20% counting) and jumping and potential (70% counting). All combinationes were judged by Marilyn Payne (Olympic judge and Eventing rider) and Christian Schacht (Veterinary and instructor). 

At the 4-year-olds class, the victory was for Oxford K (by Grand Slam) and Amber Birtcil. This combination scored the highest score for conformation and jumping which gave them a total score of 83.06 in total. Oxford K showed a great mindset while jumping. Even though this duo has only been a combination for a few months, they managed to score 3 points more than number 2. Oxford K is bred by P. Kamphof.

The second place in the 4-years-old class was for Cellar Farm Corp's Olalandra (by Falaise de Muze) with Bec Braitling. This combination achieved a total score of 80.97 points. Olalandra is bred by Y. Vaartjes-Westerbeek from Scheerwolde.
