The VDL Stallions and several offspring of the VDL Stallions  were very succesfull at the International Horse of Leeuwarden last weekend.

Broere VDL Atlantic and VDL Orame were placed in the Grand Prix of Leeuwarden. Broere VDL Atlantic (Accord II x Lord), ridden by Wout Jan van der Schans became the 6th place and TSP VDL Orame (Indoctro x Ramiro), ridden by Jur Vrieling, received the 8th place. Broere VDL Atlantic was also one time 7th in a 1.45 m class against the clock.

Dennis van Tilburg, rider of the VDL Stud, competed at International level and was placed with Gasaya's La Pomme (Jus de Pomme x Renville) in a 1.50 m class, they received the 9th place. He was also one time 9th in a 1.40m class with the stallion Greve Molke (Irco Marco x Utrillo). With VDL Rina BD, Dennis became 4th in a 1.30 m class.

The Brazilian rider Vitor Teixera competed with the 8 years old VDL Pessoa (Animo x Nimmerdor). This young talented stallion was one time 4th in a 1.50 m class and had only one fault in the Grand Prix on Sunday. With VDL Montreal (Indoctro x Nimmerdor), Vitor Teixera became the 12th place in a 1.45 m class and with VDL Sancho (Corland x Nimmerdor) he became 8th in a class for 6- and 7-years old horses

VDL Groep VDL Maseratie (Indoctro x G. Ramiro Z), ridden by Mathijs van Asten, was one time 8th in a 1.45 m class.

Good results by offspring of VDL Stallions were:

• Carlanda (by Corland), ridden by Sabine van Kesteren won a 1.30 m class for Junior riders;
• Bylou (by Glennridge), ridden by Marleen Bruggink, was 6th in a 1.35 m class for Junior riders;
• Sir Corland (by Corland), ridden by Wout Jan van der Schans, became one time 3rd and one time 7th in the class for 6- and 7-years old horses;
• Orlando LA (by Indoctro), ridden by Leon Thijssen, was 4th in a 1.40 m class against the clock;
• Ronaldo (by Ahorn), ridden by Robert Smith, was 7th in a 1.40 m class;
• Miss Montana (by Emilion), ridden by Emile Tacken, was 5th in a 1.45 m class against the clock;
• Riot Gun (by Chin Chin), ridden by Lesley McNaught, was 2nd in a 1.50 m class and 9th in a 1.45 m class;
• Niko IV (by Glennridge), ridden by Ben Maher, was 3rd in a 1.45 m class and 10th in a 1.50 m class;
• Top Cat (by Glennridge), ridden by Ben Schroder, was 4th in a 1.45 m class.
