There was a clear round for VDL Brugal, ridden by Dennis van Tilburg, in the final of the World Championship for 5 years old jumpers in Lanaken. In the jump-off Brugal again jumped very good but unfortunately he had one pole down. Also Bacardi VDL and Calvin Klein jumped very good but did not make it to the jump-offs.

There were many offspring of VDL Stallions competing very well in Lanaken:
The Indoctro-mare Gwindeline, ridden by  Guillaume Ruant,  placed 4th in the final of the 5 years old jumpers and the Indoctro-mare Sibellixe, ridden by Berrenger Oudin placed 13th. Also selected for the finals were 2 offspring by Chin Chin, 1 offspring by Carolus II, 1 offspring of  Indoctro and 2 offspring of Corland.

The Sheraton-mare Arista, ridden by  Dayro Arroyave, placed 12th in the final for 6 years old jumpers.

In the consolation classes on Saturday there were also good results for offspring of VDL Stallions:
Ardenta S, a mare by  Cardento, ridden by Dominique Roelofsen placed 11th in the consolation class for 6 years old jumpers.

In the consolation class for 5-years old jumpers the Corland-mare Dollin, ridden by  Andrea Amadessi finished 3rd and  7th place was for Chakira, a Cardento x Cortez, ridden by  Elin Jansson. Placed 11th was Guinelza, a daughter of Chin Chin, ridden by Jean Christophe de Grande and the  Cardento-merrie Catch Buddy, ridden by Maria Ingvarsson finished 15th.
