Recently the VDL Stud own half of the Grand Prix jumping stallion Herald (Heraldik xx x Lorenz).  The VDL Stud owns the stallion together with the French stud Group France Elevage. Herald is a 16 years old stallion with a high percentage of thoroughbred blood, 72,27%.

 Herald jumped for more then 8 years at the highest internationallevel with several riders like Pilar Lucrecia Cordon Muro, Markus Beerbaum, Erik Lamaze and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. Herald placed high many times , for example: 1st Nations Cup Barcelona, 1st GP Vejer de la Frontera, 1st GP Saint Lo, 3rd Nations Cup Rome, 4th Nations Cup Lummen, 4th GP Mechelen, 5th Nations Cup La Baule, 7th GP Gijon, 7th Nations Cup Madrid etc.
