Last weekend, we attended the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken. Our talented 6-year-old mare Caranda VDL Z (Carrera VDL x Argentinus) competed under Sander Naber. The combination produced two beautiful clear rounds. Unfortunately, they just missed out on qualification for the final, but we were very happy with the quality and potential Caranda VDL Z showed in Lanaken. Picobella (Comthago VDL x Alicante) also showed her quality under Age Flapper. The combination jumped a very nice clear round in the consolation class on Saturday. Picobella was bred by Menko and Elsa Jongeling from Aduard.

This year, for the first time, we also offered two foals at the Zangersheide foal auction, and we couldn’t have wished for a better result! Blissful Derly's Girl VDL became the absolute top seller of the evening. This impressive filly by Baltic VDL is out of the internationally successful 1.60m Grand Prix mare Derly Chin and attracted a great deal of interest.  Blissful Derly's Girl VDL is a half-sister to several 1.60m showjumpers, including Daniel Deusser’s top horse Killer Queen VDM. In the end, she was sold as the highest-priced foal of the evening.
