ZUIDWOLDE - Its A Katosca Again (Zirocco Blue x Indoctro) has won the CSI1* Grand Prix over 1.35m of Hippisch de Wolden in Zuidwolde (NED) under Pim Mulder (NED).
In the CSI2* over 1.40m, several VDL descendants did very well. With Halifax (just like Its A Katosca Again a descendant of Zirocco Blue x Indoctro), Albert Zoer (NED) won this class. M. Terpstra (NED) bred the successful Halifax.
Shanroe Barney (Dallas VDL x Elcaro), bred by Geraldine Drain (IRE) and ridden by Bas van der Aar (NED), also completed the jump-off course clear, but just a second slower than Zoer and Halifax.
Häkkinen N (Zirocco Blue x Chin Chin), ridden by Bas van der Aa, was third in the Grand Prix. Häkkinen N was bred by the VDL Stud.
Igor GPH (Harley VDL x Crawford), bred by the GPH Stud (VOF Angenent, NED), finished fifth under Joey Lansink (NED). Both Häkkinen N and Igor GPH remained clear: only the finish time made the difference this time in this beautiful Grand Prix.
The CSIYH1* in Zuidwolde resulted in no less than two wins for Lareusa S (Toulon x Calvados) and Sander Naber (NED). P. Sleutels from Roggel (NED) can be proud of this mare from his breeding. Lareusa S is jointly owned by the VDL Stud and C. Fortunato from Italy.
Lubalia (Dallas VDL x Indoctro), ridden by Bert Jan Zuidema (NED), placed fourth in the young horse class for five- and six-year-olds.K. Feiken & A. Botterblom-Haket (NED) bred Lubalia in 2016.
Le Chic O (Glenfiddich VDL x Lux Z), was third with rider Noëlle van der Velde (NED) in the saddle. G.K.M. van Oers (NED) bred the six-year-old Glenfiddich descendant.
Maximus Quantum Leap (Carrera VDL x Indoctro) won 1.20 in the five and six year olds. Ruben Dario Ramirez Zilli (MEX) rode the only five-year-old Maximus, who was bred by K.B. Huygen (NED). Bokito Van De Woestenheide (Brantzau VDL x Dexter R), bred by D. Schaper and ridden by Britt Schaper (NED), came in second.
The young horse final gave Maximus Quantum Leap and Dario Ramirez Zilli second place.
Bokito Van De Woestenheide and Britt Schaper were fourth.
Legend O (VDL Glasgow vn 't Merelsnest x Chin Chin) and Noëlle van der Velde (NED) finished fifth in this final. G.K.M. van Oers (NED) also bred this handsome Glasgow descendant.
The Dallas descendant Lutalo TK (Dallas VDL x Karandasj) was also successful in the top ten: Lutalo TK also remained double clear and was sent to a nice eighth place by Janine van den Berg-Ten Kate (NED). Breeder is J. ten Kate (NED).
Fancy Roos VDL (Baltic VDL x Goodtimes) and Alex David Gill (GBR) took a nice third place in the CSI2* over 1.45m. With Pommerol de Muze (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Kannan), Alex David Gill was twice clear in the 1.30m.
