At the CSI4* in La Coruña, Spain, several VDL horses made a name for themselves with impressive results at the highest international level.
In the closing CSI4 Grand Prix (1.60m)*, Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) rode the KWPN mare Jesther (by Cardento), bred by G.J.A. Moerings of Roosendaal, to an impressive fourth place. After two clear rounds, the pair finished in 48.08 seconds.
Fifth place went to Jourdain VDL (by Zapatero). Ridden by the Spanish rider Carlos Lopez-Fanjul Tartiere, the KWPN horse bred by VDL Stud also remained double clear and clocked 49.06 seconds in the jump-off.
Be Blue (by Brantzau) had also made a name for himself earlier in the weekend. Ridden by Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP), the OS stallion finished second in the 1.50m show jumping on Friday after a clear-round jump-off in 32.91 seconds. A day later, another strong result followed with a fourth place in the 1.50m Winning Round. Be Blue was bred by Helmut Osterkamp (GER).
With these consistent performances, the VDL stallions are once again underlining their quality at the highest international level.
