Top results in the first week of CSI Zuidwolde with wins for New Pleasure VDL and Lacoste VDL.
Our approved stallions New Pleasure VDL and Sambucci de Muze qualified for the jump-off of the final for 5- and 6-year-old horses. New Pleasure VDL and Hessel Hoekstra took the win with a nice and fast clear round. Sambucci de Muze and Luke Hill also rode a beautiful clear roundin the jump-off, which was good for a nice 3rd place.
Later in the day there was a victory for our 8-year-old gelding Lacoste VDL (Zirocco Blue x Indoctro) and Alex David Gill in the 1.40m Championat of Veeningen. Several offspring of our stallions were high placed in this class:
3rd Jignipes Eickenrode (Zirocco Blue x Heartbreaker), ridden by Dennis vd Brink
6th Kansas VDL (Arezzo x Indoctro) ridden by Hessel Hoekstra
8th Jakarta (Zirocco Blue x Indorado) ridden by Thomas Ryan
Our stallion Mindset ES made his debut in the 1.40m class with Alex Gill with two clear rounds. And with Night Life VDL, Alex David Gill jumped two clear rounds in the class for 6-year-olds.
Stargos VDL and Hessel Hoekstra finished 4th in the final of the Bronze Tour on Sunday. The stallion, as we have come to expect from him, jumped around flawlessly with a great attitude and technique.
The 1* Grand Prix was won by Luuketoulon Defony Bo (Etoulon x Ahorn) and Dennis van den Brink. The 8-year-old mare was bred by K. van den Boogaard. More offspring of VDL stallions were placed in the top 5:
4th l.Chiaro di Luna (Carrera x Mermus R), ridden by Daan van Geel
5th Lookalike B (Glenfiddich x Silverstone), ridden by Yfke Priem
and our own VDL D'Amigo de Beauty (Dominator x Corland) came 7th with Alex David Gill..
