Three times victory in one day is a charm in Saugerties (USA)

SAUGERTIES - A fine result for VDL in Saugerties (USA): no less than three classes in one day were won by three different horses: Glen (Zirocco Blue VDL), Gideon (Arezzo VDL) and Gillette B (Glasgow van 't Merelsnest).

Glen (Zirocco Blue VDL x Julio Mariner), bred by Henk Coenen, Heijen (NED) and ridden by Jonathan McCrea (USA), won the 1.40m. Zorro van de Mespel Z (Zirocco Blue x Escudo I) and Quentin Judge (USA) were also clear, but slightly slower, and came in second.

Gideon B (Arezzo VDL x Matterhorn) won the 1.35m class under Laura Chapot (USA). This combination was in the 1.40m. third and second in the 1.30m.

Gillette B (Glasgow van 't Merelsnest x Ahorn), bred by Stal Bakker and ridden by Madison Rauschenbach (USA) won the 1.30m.

Kwintano Fortuna (Carrera VDL x Verdi TN) also won a 1.30m class ridden by Riley Newsome (USA), but just not on the same day. Kwintano Fortuna was bred by P.& A.M. Rinkes-Tjeenk Willink, Zwolle (NED).

In another 1.40m class HH Earley (Harley VDL x Indorado), bred by M. Van Kollenburg, Best (NED) and ridden by Joanna Wolffer (USA) finished second. Glen and Jonathan McCrea finished fourth here.
