The charming grey Etouruso was one of the trendsetters of the Oldenburg Stallion Days and was convincingly voted Reservesieger. His pedigree is full of stallions who all grew up at VDL Stud and became foundation stallions; a great prospect for Etouruso. The Etoulon VDL son, stands out for his excellent jumping technique, athletic ability and push from the floor.

Sire Etoulon VDL was an extremely talented jumper from the start and his offspring are convincing more and more in the international sport. Son Ebanking is now jumping at 1.60m level with Joseph Stockdale, Opaline de W&S is extremely successful with Petronella Andersson, Jordan Molga M is breaking through with Nicolas Delmotte, Itouvasca Fortuna is doing remarkably well with Jodie Hall McAteer, Imbeer in turn with Robert Murphy and Lexington (former Obama van Ostaayen) with first Abdel Saïd and now Cian O'Connor.

Dam Hyrusa H is a daughter of the preferent stallion Baltic VDL and is the full sister of the very promising KWPN-approved stallion Norton VDL. In addition, granddam Wyrusa H also produced the 1.60m showjumper Cat Ninja and the very promising Jiwyrusa H - also a daughter of Baltic VDL. Third dam Pyrusa H stood at the base of several international showjumping horses, including Vyruso VDL and Zarusa H. Subsequently, Etouruso's damline goes back to the Nimmerdor daughter Irusa, dam of the KWPN-approved Wittinger VDL who was competitive at Grand Prix level in the United States until a very advanced age.

Etouruso's pedigree has no weak links and he himself excels with jumping talent and an excellent type. In short, a very promising stallion for sport and breeding.
