Matrix, approved by the KWPN, brings the best genes from Belgium to the Netherlands. Father Matisse de Mariposa is a talented son of Diamant de Semilly out of the half-sister of Flora de Mariposa - Olympic team gold in Rio de Janeiro under Pénélope Leprévost. Matisse de Mariposa is already jumping at 1.45m level under Brazilian Bernardo Alves. Matrix's grandfather Bamako de Muze is then a son of the legendary Darco out of the top mare Fragance de Chalus - dam of Mylord Carthago, among others. Great grandfather Querlybet Hero was bred out of the famous Qerly Chin line and then Nabab de Rêve completes the pedigree of Matrix.
Matrix's dam line is one of the most successful at the moment. Granddam For-Sandi is a daughter of the famous Candy. Under Pieter Devos, this top mare won the Rolex Grand Prix of Calgary in 2013 and in breeding she already produced the 1.60m show jumpers Important de Muze, Intenz by HD, Handy by HD and Gran Canyon by HD. In addition, Candy was bred from the full sister of Ian Millar's legendary Big Ben - one of the best show jumpers of all time and two-time winner of the Grand Prix of Calgary. Dixon is also closely related to Matrix, making it the third Calgary GP winner from this dam line.
In the autumn of 2020 Matrix earned its approval with the KWPN. With a final score of 77 points, including 8's for canter, rideability and attitude, Matrix was classified and praised for his character, good balance, technique and scope.
