He is sired by Landino VDL, who is at the start of an international sports career and hails from an exceptional damline. The dam of Landino VDL is a half-sister to none other than Olympic medallist Bubalu VDL, and Landino VDL himself is a half-brother to the Grand Prix-level performing Aksai Chin VDL. Raikkonen VDL also carries valuable genes on the dam’s side. His dam, K.Amelusiena, was a finalist at the Dutch mare championship (NMK) and is a half-sister to the international 1.50m level competing horse Udor. Granddam P.Amelusiena 5 is a half-sister to the renowned progenitor of the stallion Namelus R. The illustrious Melusiena damline has produced numerous international showjumpers, including at top-level I Amelusina R51, Home-Run, Lamalushi, and Amigo T.
