Premium stallion and reserve champion Santiago (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Kashmir van Schuttershof) successfully completed the KWPN Stallion Test this weekend and is now officially approved by the KWPN.
Bred by the family Henstra, Santiago originates from the proven Sina line. His dam Erina already produced several international showjumpers, including Wadro’s Jerina (by Zirocco Blue VDL), competing at 1.45m level. Erina herself is a half-sister to the successful 1.55/1.60m horses Nerina (Amaretto I) and Drachten (Berlin). Granddam Jerina is also known as the granddam of top performer Hello Senator, who finished 2nd in the Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva.
During the stallion test, Santiago impressed with his athletic ability, scope and uncomplicated character. Meanwhile, his first foals have already been born – and they look very promising!
